Garmisch-Partenkirchen (dpa) - The first women's downhill training for the Ski World Cup in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was canceled on Thursday.

The organizers cited the adverse weather conditions on the Kandahar as the reason.

Originally, the first exercise should have taken place at 11 a.m.

Snow, wind and rain did not allow any training.

The downhill race is to take place on Saturday, a Super-G on Sunday (11.00 a.m.).
