“We call on the members of the parliaments of the EU member states to seek joint action within the framework of the European Union, including the adoption of new sanctions against representatives of the Russian Federation,” the document says.

As noted by Ceske Noviny, 42 out of 43 senators present at the meeting voted for the resolution.

Earlier, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that during the meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU countries, there were no specific proposals regarding new anti-Russian sanctions.
