Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The handball women from Buxtehuder SV want to take the last hurdle on the way to the DHB Cup finals.

On Saturday (4.30 p.m.) they will play the quarter-finals at HSG Blomberg-Lippe.

The hosts are fourth in the Bundesliga and have five points more than the ninth BSV in the table.

“It's a special game and not comparable to a league game.

All players are even more focused.

It's only one win until the Final Four, ”said BSV coach Dirk Leun.

In the round of 16, BSV caused a big surprise with a 26:25 win over title contender Borussia Dortmund.

To turn off Blomberg and the Final Four on 15./16.

Reaching May in Stuttgart, Leun demanded: "We have to deprive the HSG of its effectiveness and play with conviction."

The handball lynx Buchholz 08-Rosengarten (13th), on the other hand, have little chance of progressing on Sunday (4:00 p.m.) at Bayer Leverkusen (8th).

The hosts have won the cup nine times, the lynx have never made it through to the finals.

The outsider is missing several regular players.

Three weeks ago the lynx lost the Bundesliga game in Leverkusen with 24:26.

"I hope that the girls can deliver such a spirited game again," said coach Dubravko Prelcec.
