Berlin (dpa / bb) - In Berlin, the number of new corona infections continues to decline.

503 new cases were reported on Thursday, as the Senate Department for Health announced in its status report.

The day before, there were 890 cases.

The so-called 7-day incidence fell below 100. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week was now 95.3.

Nevertheless, the Berlin Corona traffic light is still red. The target is less than 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in 7 days.

The lowest incidence was recorded in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg with a value of 76.8, the highest in Mitte (114.8).

The traffic light also continues to show red when the intensive care beds are being used. Here, the rate of 30.1 percent is just below the previous day's figure (30.3).

According to the management report, 118,950 people have been infected in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic, of whom 104,508 are considered recovered.

2195 people died in connection with Corona, 31 more than the day before.
