The West of Lyon has just been the scene of a hostage-taking worthy of a film scenario.
The son of a business manager, aged 28 and living in Bessenay (Rhône), was thus kidnapped by criminals on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, with his 21-year-old girlfriend.
The kidnappers, four or five in number according to
Le Progrès
, were hooded and heavily armed, when they were taken aboard two vehicles in the direction of the Saamp company.
Located in Limonest, it is specialized in the treatment of precious metals, and it is managed by the father of the victim.
Once there, the kidnappers would then have called the business manager, threatening to attack his son if he did not show up as soon as possible to open the safes.
The father should then have loaded gold into his car before having to go to the Mas du Taureau, in Vaulx-en-Velin, in order to deliver the ransom (the value of which is not known) to another team of criminals.
The two young victims were found by security agents this Thursday morning in a parking lot at the Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage (Ain).
The investigation was entrusted to the gendarmes of the research section of Lyon, while no kidnapper has yet been arrested.
