Washington (dpa) - US Senator Bernie Sanders has raised money for a good cause with his now world-famous “grumpy chic” look.
Sanders' team said merchandise with his outfit printed on the day of the presidential swearing in had raised $ 1.8 million in the past five days.
The money goes to charities in Sanders' home state of Vermont.
The Sanders' campaign website had T-shirts and sweaters with a photo of the look on them.
His team said the first product sold out last Thursday in less than 30 minutes.
More articles were added over the weekend, which were also out of stock by Monday morning.
