A wool doll modeled after Senator Bernie Sanders, who attracted attention with his unique fashion at the inauguration of US President Joe Biden, sold for about $20,000 and US$22 million, the Guardian reported.
Senator Sanders attended the inauguration ceremony of President Biden on the 20th, wearing a hiking jumper and fur gloves, sparking a meme craze on social media.
Seeing this, Toby King of Texas created a wool doll that embodies Sanders' inauguration fashion.
King posted his Sanders doll on eBay, an auction site, and the doll sold for $2300.
"I will donate the money I earned from selling dolls to charity," said King.
Senator Sanders also said today that he raised $1.8 million in charity by selling T-shirts and sweaters with his memes.
