Gina Lemond, appointed Secretary of Commerce by President Biden of the United States, attended a parliamentary hearing and told Chinese tech companies such as Huawei that he would "use all measures" and sanctioned as in the previous administration. We have shown a policy of taking strict measures including such matters.

Lemond, the Governor of Eastern Rhode Island, appointed Secretary of Commerce, attended a hearing for parliamentary approval on the 26th.

Under the former Trump administration, the US Department of Commerce has expanded measures to effectively ban transactions with Chinese tech companies such as Huawei, which it has determined to pose a security threat.

"China is hurting American workers and businesses through unfair competition. It is also committing outrageous human rights abuses. It will use all measures, including export restrictions and tariffs," Lemond said in a hearing with the previous administration. He also showed a policy of taking strict measures.

On top of that, Mr. Lemond said, "We will consult with the business community and allies to determine what is best."

Regarding Sino-US relations, the Chinese side is calling on the United States to review the strong policy toward China that the former Trump administration has set out, but the ministers who are in charge of diplomacy and security under the new Biden administration will take a strong attitude toward China. There are a lot of remarks that it should be done.
