Six social networks will be fined for not removing calls to participate in promotions in Russia

"For failure to comply with the requirements to suppress the dissemination of appeals to minors to participate in unauthorized rallies on January 23, the social networks Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, as well as the video hosting YouTube will be fined," the message says.

As noted, the Internet resources "did not delete in time a total of 170 illegal calls."

Fines will range from 800,000 to 4 million rubles.

Earlier, the department stated that 89% of the number of detected messages urging children to participate in illegal mass actions were removed on social networks.
