January 27, 2021Evaluate and then "prepare" in good time "an artists safety protocol" on the stage and behind the scenes of the Ariston theater for the next Sanremo Festival.

Recalling at the same time that at the moment for the shows that take place in the theatrical halls, the rules foreseen by the Dpcm currently in force until March 5, or the performance of shows takes place, must take place until March 5, "in the absence of the public" .

The Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, asks the Technical-Scientific Committee, to which he sent the note that in recent days the record associations have addressed to the Health Department asking for a safety protocol also, if not mainly, for singers and employees to work.

Previously, on January 18, Rai had issued a press release in which, at the end of a meeting between the Rai top management of the structures involved in the organization of the event and the artistic director Amadeus, in the presence of the managing director Fabrizio Salini, confirmed the dates 2-6 March for the Festival and that among the topics addressed during the meeting was that on the health and organizational protocol that "will soon be submitted to the competent authorities in order to provide for a presence of the public in the audience of the Ariston Theater ".

The topic is increasingly topical, the preparation of the 71st edition of the Festival meanwhile goes on.

And one wonders if and how it will be possible to have a Festival in presence beyond the Ariston stage.

In addition, there is to verify to what extent it will be possible to ensure coverage of the event on the spot by the newspapers of print, radio, TV and web, or how it will be possible to 'control' people, take into account hotel accommodations, provide for a supply or catering activity, given that the take-away of food can be done by 10 pm at the latest, according to the current Dpcm, and it is known that evenings at the Festival go well beyond that deadline.

While waiting for the CTS to speak, the Rai board will talk about it tomorrow, where information on the progress of the work is expected.

Colletta: "The Festival will have a security protocol, like any TV event"

"A registered show will be broadcast like any TV event. We do this with the public in mind, respecting the protocols, we are doing it in great safety, taking into account the health of everyone, which is in first place. The Sanremo festival may be less risky than imagining it post-Dpcm ".

Thus the director of Rai1 Stefano Coletta, regarding the health protocol and the methods of carrying out the Sanremo Festival.

"Sanremo is the 'continuum' physiological all the entertainment that we have been able to achieve this year despite the pandemic - said Coletta during the presentation of the second edition of the program 'The singer masked' by Milly Carlucci.

The Festival is in line with everything Rai1 has made this year. It will be a television program, serial but condensed into five evenings, with security protocols that we have used for all the other programs ".
