Kamenz (dpa / sn) - In Saxony the prices for the construction of new residential and office buildings rose slightly in the past year.
On average, the construction of a new residential building in 2020 cost 1.9 percent more than in the previous year, as the State Statistical Office in Kamenz announced on Wednesday.
In the shell construction, prices climbed by almost one percent, in the expansion by 2.6 percent.
The prices for the construction of office buildings rose by 2.3 percent in the previous year.
Although prices went up, statisticians recorded the lowest price increase for new buildings since 2010 - mainly because of the temporary VAT cut in the third and fourth quarters.
