New revelations in Russia against FSB agents suspected of being involved in the poisoning of Alexey Navalny.

In a joint investigation published on Wednesday the two investigation sites Bellingcat and The Insider, in collaboration with the German newspaper Der Spiegel, claim that these agents participated in the assassination of at least three other people in the last ten years .

Bellingcat and The Insider's investigation starts with a simple question: Did the FSB team that followed Alexei Navalny for years participate in other operations?

And if so, is it possible to prove his involvement in other criminal cases?

Starting from these questions, the journalists used the same method used for the Navalny case.

They scanned the aeronautical databases, which allow them to detail the whereabouts of each of the agents.

By crossing these data with a series of deaths whose circumstances remain mysterious, the investigators manage to make the link with three other cases.

The death of a journalist in 2014, that of a separatist activist from the Caucasus the following year, and that of a political activist who nevertheless belonged to the "systemic" opposition, that is to say the opposition tolerated by the Kremlin.

According to investigators, the movements of FSB agents upstream of these three deaths are too numerous to rule out the hypothesis of a coincidence.

Last December, during the publication of the investigation devoted to the poisoning of Alexey Navalny, the Russian authorities had qualified it as completely "

fanciful

" and had accused the journalists of "

recycling fabricated information

" which they would have received. provided by Western intelligence services.
