Munich (dpa / lby) - The President of the Technical University of Munich, Thomas Hofmann, and the President of the Association of Bavarian Economy (vbw), Wolfram Hatz, are the new chairmen of the Future Council of the Bavarian Economy.

In this position you will replace the former TU President Wolfgang Herrmann and the former vbw President Alfred Gaffal.

Hofmann said on Wednesday in Munich: “The common goal must be to further advance Bavaria as an innovation location.

We rely on cutting-edge science in combination with the practical application of the results through close partnership with the companies. "

The future council initiated by the vbw and the TU consists of representatives from business, science and the Bavarian state government.

Since it was founded in 2014, it has seen itself as a “driving force behind the successful development of Bavaria as a technology and innovation location”.
