Hundreds of candidates are vying for the renewal, on March 6, after a one-round ballot, of the 255 seats in the National Assembly, spread over 205 constituencies.

The RHDP presents candidates everywhere and mobilizes its barons.

The PDCI and the pro-Gbagbo EDS platform, for their part, have joined forces to put the odds on their side.

An alliance to the detriment of other opposition partners.

Suddenly, in view of the legislative elections, another opposition bloc was formed around Pascal Affi N'Guessan's FPI.

About sixty candidates: this is, by his own admission, what the FPI's means allowed him to align.

Pascal Affi N'Guessan, the president of the legal FPI, decided ten days ago to go it alone for the

legislative elections of March 6

, while the two opposition heavyweights, EDS and the

PDCI

, s' were hearing in their corner about single candidacies, leaving their other opposition allies out of the equation.

Agreements

But legal REIT did not stand alone for long.

In turn, he concluded agreements with other political groups left behind: the COJEP of Charles Blé Goudé, the UDPCI of Albert Toikeusse Mabri, and Agir, of Martial Ahipeaud.

In the end, the team presents nearly a hundred candidates.

Pascal Affi N'Guessan will defend his seat as deputy in Bongouanou.

Its vice-president, Jean Bonin Kouadio, reports to Dimbokro, and Issiaka Sangaré, the spokesperson, to Cocody.

Alongside the FPI contenders, the UDPCI has lined up a dozen candidates, including its secretary general, Blé Guirao in Bloléquin.

The number 2 of the COJEP, Roselin Bly, is in the running in Yopougon, accompanied by one of its vice-presidents, Alain Gnapi.

Still in Yopougon, Pascal Affi N'Guessan's lawyer, Pierre Dagbo Gode, is seeking one of the six seats at stake for the FPI. Finally, Martial Ahipeaud, from the Agir group, comes to Lakota.
