From 2017 to 2020, a total of 3,909 people were arrested in 2,348 criminal cases endangering production safety, and 7,978, 13,205 people were prosecuted.
Among them, major liability accident crimes accounted for 80% of criminal crimes endangering production safety, followed by major labor safety accident crimes, major flight accident crimes, railway operation safety accident crimes, education facilities major safety accident crimes, and large-scale mass activities major safety accident crimes. .

The main reasons for the incident were the indifferent safety awareness of the unit or personnel involved, lack of professional qualifications, violation of safety operation regulations, confusion in internal supervision, and inadequate external supervision of relevant functional departments, etc.
According to reports, work safety accidents often involve many victims and have a significant social impact. The procuratorial organs strictly control the facts, evidence, and application of the law. For units and individuals involved in the case with bad circumstances and serious consequences, they will propose heavy penalties in accordance with the law. If an omission is found, it shall be prosecuted in a timely manner according to law.
