In France, Jean-Luc Mélenchon is already fully focused on his campaign for the 2022 presidential election. The leader of La France insoumise (LFI) leaves far from the finish line, hoping to gather as many people as possible.

At a press conference, the one who gathered 19.5% of the vote in 2017 detailed his strategy and called on the left not to “tear each other apart”.

Most of his competitors are not yet on the starting line as he has already left.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon, not unhappy to see that a recent poll gives him the head of the voting intentions for left-wing presidential candidates: "

Well the cold shower, it was not for me, it was for others.

 "

A spade to the socialist Anne Hidalgo and the environmentalist Yannick Jadot, both behind.

But the leader of the Insoumis wants to play appeasement: "

I suggest that we avoid tearing each other apart because if we do it we only satisfy our opponents.

It doesn't win a single vote.

 "

Jean-Luc Mélenchon suggests to the left forces to discuss with him.

In the meantime, it is getting ahead of its competitors with the upcoming holding of an augmented reality meeting, the release in newsstands of a series of magazines on its proposals and above all a work to revise its 2017 program including the result will be presented in the fall.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon engages in a long-distance race, he explains why: “

For us, abstention is risk number 1. Motivating people is task number 1. It is not so much to go and distinguish ourselves from one or the other.

The debate on the program, it helps to re-motivate.

 "

The leader of the Insoumis thus hopes to create a "dynamic" around his candidacy which will make it essential on the left.
