Munich (dpa / lby) - As a result of the lockdown that was extended to mid-February, the board of the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) decided to suspend general competition operations from February 1 until further notice.

The result of the decision is that, with effect from February 1, the remaining bans and the six-month inactivity period will be interrupted in the event of a change of club.

The end of the suspension will be the day on which the board of directors decides to continue general gaming operations.

The decision is above all a formal act.

"Due to the current tense and difficult to assess pandemic development, no reliable statement can be made today as to when we can lift the suspension," said BFV Vice President Reinhold Baier.

Due to the state Corona regulations, the periods from March 13 to July 29, 2020 (Lockdown I) as well as from November 2 to 30, 2020 (Lockdown II) and now also from February 1, 2021, remain for changes in the amateur area due to inactivity at disregarded.

In the case of transfers, the period of inactivity only comes into play if a player does not receive the approval of the releasing club.

He can still change, but then he must not have played a game within the past six months (without the excluded periods).
