Trebur (dpa / lhe) - In Trebur in southern Hesse, an 85-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car and killed.
The man died on Tuesday evening at the scene of the accident, the police said.
The driver turned himself in shortly after the collision at the police station in Groß-Gerau.
The emergency services then looked for the scene of the accident with a police helicopter.
Details of the course of the accident were initially unclear.
