Schwedt / Oder (dpa / bb) - Unknown people have deposited ammunition parts in front of the town hall in Schwedt (Uckermark district).
They were discovered on Tuesday evening by a passer-by on the lid of a garbage can, about 20 meters from the main entrance, the East Police Department announced on Wednesday.
The area was secured by the police until the ordnance disposal service arrived.
The metal parts were the propellant case of a bazooka and a training bullet.
Chemical substances were not included.
The items were secured.
It is now determined who put down the parts and why.
