Berlin / Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - 1143 new corona infections have been reported in Hesse within 24 hours.
According to data from the Berlin Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Wednesday, the number of cases registered since the beginning of the pandemic is 167 595. A total of 4577 deaths were linked to the virus, 83 more than the day before (as of 00.00 Clock).
The incidence as an important indicator of new infections in seven days per 100,000 inhabitants was 105.0 nationwide.
According to the RKI information, the Fulda district continued to have the highest value in the regions with 242.9.
For comparison: Last Wednesday, the number of registered new corona infections within one day was still more than 1,300, the number of additionally reported deaths was 118.
According to the intensive care registry of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive and Emergency Medicine (Divi), 412 corona patients were treated on Wednesday (as of 1:28 p.m.).
205 Covid-19 patients were ventilated.
Throughout Hesse, 1753 of 1936 operable intensive care beds were occupied - also with patients with other diseases.

According to the RKI, 141 478 vaccine doses had been injected against Corona in Hesse by Tuesday (as of Wednesday, 10:00 a.m.).
108 901 people received the first vaccination, 4613 more than the day before.
The vaccination rate was 1.7 percent.
32 577 already received the second vaccination dose.
