In the autumn of 2020, the Folkets Husföreningen Panncentralen was granted a total of SEK 355,000 from state funds against segregation - money that was distributed in two different projects.

The outcome of the projects would have been finalized on 10 January this year, but for Panncentralen it took until last week before the documents were received by the culture and leisure administration.

From the final reports that have now been submitted, it appears that the wage costs in one project - "Together for Karlskrona" - increased by SEK 228,000 in just one month.

In the interim report from November 24 that SVT Nyheter Blekinge examined, Panncentralen has used just over 62,000 for salaries.

One month later, the same item was up to SEK 291,144.

- It is simply due to one that the basis in the interim report was incorrect.

However, the figures in the final report are correct, but I understand that it looks strange.

I have to blame that we have lived under severe pressure in recent months, says Panncentralen's producer Sebastian Chavez, who is the one who has submitted the documentation to the municipality.

At the same time, the association writes that the activity open to the public during the current month was closed due to the second corona wave.

Must pay back to the municipality

Responsible politicians in the culture and leisure committee have previously said that the reports should be reviewed and that associations that have been granted grants may be liable for repayment.

The committee's second vice chair Sophia Ahlin (M) today wants to go further than that:

- I want to see vouchers for all expenses that have been linked to these projects.

And that applies to all associations that have received this money, she says.

But it is not just accelerating wage costs in Panncentralen's final reports.

In the parallel integration project “Girl2020”, items for already spent salaries have, on the contrary, decreased during the same period.

In November, according to the association's interim report, the project in question had cost SEK 22,800 in salaries - a month later, the same item was just over SEK 5,000 lower.

- I have to double check before I can give an answer as to what it may be due to, says Sebastian Chavez, who has now been fired from his position.

In the "Girl2020" project, SEK 78,382 also remains - unused money Panncentralen now has to repay.

- That money should be untouched, so the municipality requests that amount back and we will of course pay, says Sebastian Chavez.
