Schladming (dpa) - The German ski racer Linus Straßer also retired from the Schladming slalom and suffered the next setback in the World Cup.

The man from Munich started the night race in Austria on Tuesday evening - that happened to him a good week ago in Flachau.

The Austrian Marco Schwarz won the race ahead of the two Frenchmen Clement Noel and Alexis Pinturault.

After the World Cup in Schladming, which had to do without the usual thousands of spectators this Corona winter, there are two goal runs in Chamonix at the weekend.

After that, the goal runners will go to the World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
