Leipzig (dpa / sn) - The weather in Saxony remains wintry.

Snow can be expected again on Tuesday, said a spokesman for the German Weather Service (DWD) on Tuesday morning.

Accordingly, clouds should come in from the northwest in the morning, bringing up to five centimeters of snow in the lowlands west of the Elbe - up to ten centimeters could also remain in the Ore Mountains.

The maximum temperatures are expected to be just above freezing during the day, and permafrost prevails in the mountains.

There, in the upper areas, snow drifts can occur due to the somewhat stronger wind.

At night, light frost can also be expected in the lowlands.

On Wednesday, snow is also to be expected from the afternoon, but it should only remain in the mountains.

It remains overcast, the temperatures are expected to be up to three degrees in the lowlands and down to minus four degrees in the mountain regions.
