Hamm (AP) - While chasing a scooter, a police patrol crashed into a street lamp in Hamm.
The officers had become aware of the vehicle on Monday evening because it was driving suspiciously and had no license plate, the police said.
The driver ignored the signals from the police.
When the patrol car got off the road in the pursuit and drove into a street lamp, the scooter driver fled out of town.
The police car was no longer ready to drive and had to be towed away.
