A
72-year-old man
has died and 21 people have been injured, two seriously, in the fire in a building that occurred in the Madrid municipality of
Alcalá de Henares
, according to sources from Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid.
Seven firefighters from the
Community of Madrid
have come to the place
,
who have rescued
several of the residents
from the facade of the building, located at
Calle Hernán Cortes number 3
.
Among the injured,
a 60-year-old woman
has been transferred to the Alcalá Hospital in serious condition and intubated for smoke inhalation, while
a 20-year-old has been admitted to La Paz
in the same state, for smoke inhalation and burns in the face.
Likewise,
a 93-year-old woman
with a moderate prognosis due to smoke inhalation poisoning
was transferred to Hospital de Alcalá, and
a
55-year-old man
was transferred to
Gregorio Marañón
for the same cause.
The rest of the residents, a total of 17 and of various ages,
have been treated at the site
by Summa112 for mild inhalation, so they have not required transfer to the hospital.
