Cleveland (AP) - LeBron James succeeded in his best game of the season on the evening before the first anniversary of his friend Kobe Bryant's death.
At 115: 108 the Los Angeles Lakers against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the 36-year-old scored 46 points.
James is the oldest professional in the Lakers jersey to have scored so many points in one game since Bryant scored 60 points in his last NBA game at the age of 37.
Germany's best basketball professional, Dennis Schröder, scored ten points in the defending champion's ninth away win.
The Lakers are still unbeaten in foreign arenas and with 14 wins they have more than any other team in the NBA.
The Boston Celtics now have ten wins after beating the Chicago Bulls 119: 103 and are thus still in the top group of the Eastern Conference.
National player Daniel Theis came up with a good 19 points as a starting player and had another good game.
"I've definitely gotten better in the last few weeks," said Theis.
“Now it doesn't matter where I play, I try to make the best of it.
