The Civil Rights Commission is reviewing a plan to request an investigation into the suspected illegal departure ban against former Vice Minister of Justice Kim Hak-eui to the High-ranking Public Officials Crime Investigation Office.

Justice Minister Park Beom-gye also stated at a personnel hearing that it was'right to relocate to the airlift'.

The Kwonik Committee said, "Recently, the public interest reporter in the case applied for protection, and the facts are being checked and reviewed through related procedures such as interviews with the reporter."

The Kwon and Ik Committee explained, "As soon as the investigation process is completed, we will review measures to protect the reporter and whether or not to request an investigation by airlift in accordance with relevant laws and regulations."

If the contents of the report are related to corruption of high-ranking public officials, if it is determined that it is necessary to investigate after confirming the facts, it may request an investigation to an investigating agency including the airlift.

In addition, it is possible to decide whether to protect the personal information of the reporter or to reduce responsibility.

Earlier this month, the reporter reported to the KFTC that there was an offense in the process of banning the departure of former Vice Minister Kim, and then made several additional reports, and the Daejeon District Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating the case.

Han Sam-seok, Director of the Review and Protection Bureau of Kwon Ik-wi said, "We will immediately initiate an investigation according to the reporter's application for protection, and follow up fairly according to the results of the investigation."
