Rahstorf (dpa / lby) - For Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger (Free Voters), the hunt is a family affair.

"I've been hunting for over 30 years," said the politician of the "Bild" newspaper (Tuesday).

He was four years old for the first time in the forest, first with his grandfather, then with his father.

«My grandfather leased our area for the first time in the 1950s.

I hope that my boys will want to go hunting here one day too. "

His territory is a forest near Rahstorf in Lower Bavaria.

"Between Christmas and Three Kings I was outside almost every day," said Aiwanger.

But it's not always about hunting.

Feeding places for deer would have to be replenished, raised stands checked.

After hunting successes, there is also a banquet at the Aiwangers.

"For some of them I peel off the skin myself and we eat it."

But he takes most of the deer killed to the venison dealer.
