Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In North Rhine-Westphalia fewer people left the church in 2020 than in 2019. Last year there were a total of 89 694 church exits in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Ministry of Justice announced on Tuesday in Düsseldorf.
In 2019 there were 120 188. In the previous year, 2018, 88 510 people had turned their backs on the churches.
It is not possible to read from the figures how the withdrawals break down depending on the denomination.
