Heilbronn (dpa / lsw) - CDU top candidate Susanne Eisenmann is campaigning for corona mass tests in the country.

Together with the Tübingen emergency doctor Lisa Federle, Minister of Culture Eisenmann has drawn up a corresponding key points paper, which the “Heilbronner Voice” and “Mannheimer Morgen” (Wednesday) report on.

Accordingly, there should be a voluntary, comprehensive test offer for people with many contacts as well as for older or previously ill people who live at home.

Federle, who is also a CDU member, has been campaigning for an expansion of the rapid tests for a long time.

Since the vaccinations were delayed due to delivery bottlenecks and the new virus variations could spread, the expanded rapid tests could ease the situation.

According to the concept of Federle and Eisenmann, employees in daycare centers and schools are to be offered three random corona rapid tests per week, the newspapers report.

Police officers and retail workers would also be eligible.

Eisenmann and Federle therefore suggest setting up a test point or, if possible, two test points for the quick tests in each of the 44 urban and rural districts.

The test stations could possibly be attached to the district vaccination centers.
