The Netherlands experienced on the night of Monday to Tuesday a second outbreak of violence orchestrated by opponents of the curfew, supposed to stem the epidemic of coronavirus.

In the main cities of the country such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague, but also in other localities, the curfew imposed on the Netherlands this weekend, for the first time in the country since the Second World War, has gave rise to riots.

The Dutch government assured Tuesday that it would not back down on the curfew imposed to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, despite the protests that have shaken the country since it came into force on Saturday evening.
