It can snow in areas until Tuesday morning, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced.
In higher congestion locations, up to ten centimeters of fresh snow are possible.
In the course of the day, the precipitation should then initially subside.
The maximum temperatures are between one and four degrees.
Above 600 meters, a strong westerly wind also creates snow drifts.
In the night of Wednesday the clouds become thicker again.
In the lower areas it should rain, in the mountains up to three centimeters of fresh snow fall.
At temperatures as low as minus five degrees, the roads in the country can be slippery.
Even during the day it should rain or snow again and again.
The maximum values are between minus two and five degrees.
At the end of the week, according to the DWD, it remains wet, but it is getting a little warmer: On Friday, up to ten degrees are possible on the Rhine, it said.
