With 43.7 million passengers in 2020, the Guangzhou-Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou has taken the first place from Atlanta in terms of passenger volume.

It also exceeds that of Beijing which in the latest rankings came just behind the American airport, as well as that of Shanghai.
