There are several different plaintiffs, most in the municipality of Sundsvall but also one in Upplands Väsby north of Stockholm, who according to the indictment have encountered the motorcycle gang members' methods of collecting money.

Whether debts existed or not, in whole or in part, depends in several of the cases on who you ask.

One of the cases concerns a private person who was required to pay SEK 300,000.

Two men, one of whom was wearing a motorcycle vest, handed over a letter of demand stating that if the SEK 300,000 was not paid within five days, "measures would be taken".

Motorcycle vest

Another case concerns a couple in the Sundsvall area who hired two craftsmen for a house project.

One craftsman is one of the three now being prosecuted.

But the couple was not happy with the job and canceled the contract.

According to the indictment, they were then searched by two men, one of them wearing a motorcycle vest, who knocked and hit the house, expressed threats and urged the couple to open.

Here, too, a written letter of demand was handed over, signed by La Familia Sweden, demanding SEK 50,000 within 24 hours.

The next day, another of the accused called the couple three times and demanded payment so that there would be no "consequences".

Threat

The other craftsman was also required to pay for tools he "picked up" on the construction site when the project was completed.

10,000 was demanded of him by his former partner who made it clear that he was a member of a 1% club and also conveyed greetings from La Familia.

The craftsman did not pay, but a couple of months later the demands returned - now at SEK 20,000.

Plus a phone call with the message:

"Listen to me now, you fucking rat, do you understand, you have the day to leave SEK 20,000, do you understand?

After that, it will not be fun.

I promise you, do you understand? ”...“ We'll be up for the weekend ”.

Denying

The men behind the threats also made it clear that they knew which car the craftsman was driving and where his wife was working.

One of the accused men is also suspected of having picked out goods for just over SEK 11,000 at a DIY store and let the invoice go to the craftsman.

It as a way to "get rid".

None of the threatened persons should have given in to the threats and paid.

All have instead turned to the police.

All three defendants deny all extortion attempts.
