Gera (dpa / th) - According to its own statements, the mail order company Amazon will invest around 1340 million euros in its new location in Gera.
The company announced on Tuesday in Munich.
The distribution center for parcels and parcels in Gera-Cretzschwitz should be put into operation before the Christmas season 2021, it said.
According to the company, up to 1,000 jobs will be created in the first year of operation.
The first recruitment will begin in the next few weeks.
After Erfurt, Gera is the second site of the internet retailer in Thuringia.
The distribution center there was opened in 2019 and, according to the company, employs 500 people.
