Berlin / Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - In Hessen, 233 new corona infections were reported within one day.
According to data from the Berlin Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Tuesday, the number of cases registered since the beginning of the pandemic is 166 452. 4494 deaths have been associated with the virus, 82 more than the day before (as of 00:00 ).
The incidence as an important indicator of new infections in seven days per 100,000 population was 108.4 nationwide.
According to the intensive care register of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive and Emergency Medicine (Divi), 415 corona patients were treated in intensive care units on Monday (as of 3:21 p.m.).
That corresponded to almost 24.4 percent of all intensive care beds occupied.
216 Covid-19 patients were ventilated.
Throughout Hessen - also with patients with other diseases - 1702 of 1952 operable intensive care beds were occupied.
