Osnabrück (AP) - SpVgg Greuther Fürth remains a hot candidate for promotion in the 2nd Bundesliga thanks to its impressive away strength.

The Franks celebrated a 1-0 (1-0) at VfL Osnabrück at the start of the second half on Tuesday evening.

The Lower Saxony conceded the sixth home defeat in a row.

The goal for Fürth's sixth away win this season was achieved by midfielder Julian Green in the 38th minute of the game.

With 32 points - 21 of them away - the team of trainer Stefan Leitl is still very promising in the promotion race.

In the VfL stadium, the people of Fürth showed their playing skills again and again.

Dickson Abiama had a good header chance in the 15th minute.

The attacker was also involved in the goal.

Abiama put a flank from David Raum on Green, who finished.

The American could have scored his seventh goal of the season before the break.

After a great solo from Branimir Hrgota, Green shot against the post (44th).

After the break, the people of Fürth controlled the action, but missed the 2-0.

The strong Abiama first aimed too high (57th) and then hit the bar brilliantly (71st).

The Osnabrück team tried to equalize until the final whistle, but did not come to a decisive conclusion on the offensive.
