Leuna (dpa / sa) - A world war bomb was discovered on Monday during shaft work at the Leuna chemical site in the Saale district.

The country's weapons experts examined the explosive device on site, as the district administrator's office announced.

Accordingly, it was a 250 kilogram American bomb.

It was said to have been successfully blown up in the Wallendorf gravel pit in the afternoon.
