Münden, the cause of the fire is still unclear.
On Tuesday, experts from the Hanover State Criminal Police Office will investigate the scene of the fire, as the police announced on Monday.
Three half-timbered houses were in flames on Saturday morning.
The starting point was a laundry.
The flames quickly spread to adjacent half-timbered houses.
20 people were brought to safety, no one was injured.
Initial estimates assumed damage of at least 500,000 euros.
Only in November had a fire in the old town caused millions in damage.
The cause at the time was a technical defect.
