Leipzig (dpa) - In the continuation of the season in the Regionalliga Nordost, the Northeast German Football Association (NOFV) is thinking in small steps.

"In this matter we are dependent on the political decisions," said the new NOFV President Hermann Winkler the "kicker".

The season is currently suspended until the end of February.

“We're trying to play a half series to have such a sporting solution.

Then everyone played against everyone at least once.

The quotient rule option, as in the previous year, is also on the agenda, ”said the 57-year-old.

Most recently, a playoff mode favored by the MDR with the best eight teams was brought into play after the first half of the season.

Many clubs support this, but the NOFV does not.

Currently, 13 match days have been played, with only nine of the 20 clubs having played the full number of games.

The previous season was canceled after the 25th matchday and Lok Leipzig was named champion using the quotient rule.

In the relegation, Lok failed at SC Verl. In this season, the champion is promoted directly to the 3rd division.

Viktoria Berlin leads the table with eight points ahead of Altglienicke, both teams have played eleven games.
