In East Brandenburg alone, according to the AWO district association, 90 percent of residents want to be vaccinated in the institution's facilities.

The Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) and the state association of the German Red Cross Brandenburg (DRK) also reported that their care facilities were very willing to vaccinate.

Spokeswoman Marie-Christin Lux said that 8 of the 14 DRK nursing homes had already had initial vaccinations.

A second vaccination had already taken place in Großräschen (Oberspreewald-Lausitz).
