London (AP) - Thomas Tuchel is to be the coach of the English Premier League club Chelsea FC, according to matching media reports.
The ex-coach of Borussia Dortmund will therefore replace Frank Lampard, from whom the Londoners separated on Monday.
"The club will not make any further comments until a new head coach is appointed," said Chelsea on the club's website.
The 47-year-old Tuchel was last employed at Paris Saint-Germain, his contract in the French capital was terminated before Christmas.
The team around the German national team trio Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Antonio Rüdiger had reportedly been instructed not to arrive on the training grounds until Monday afternoon.
