According to the report, a source revealed to a Kuwaiti newspaper on the 24th that Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations Majid Takht-Lavansi was arranged to contact the Biden government and put forward seven prerequisites for the resumption of dialogue.

The report pointed out that among the seven prerequisites, Iran would not accept "partial" sanctions.

Iran believes that the United States must maintain all the terms of the agreement, including "complete lifting of sanctions," which is the basic prerequisite for the two parties to return to the agreement.

Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif also called on the new US government to "unconditionally" lift the sanctions imposed on Iran by former President Trump in order to save the Iran nuclear agreement.

Iran also requires that any objections to the agreement should be conducted within the framework of the official negotiating committee.

According to reports, the two parties may have differences in financial compensation.

The Iranian government previously asked the US to compensate for the financial losses caused by Trump's announcement of withdrawing from the agreement and sanctions on Iran.

In addition, the prerequisites also include that Iran does not agree to use the Iran nuclear agreement for other issues, such as missile projects and regional activities; the agreement should not add any new members, including Arab countries in the Gulf region.

The report pointed out that Iranian President Rouhani will directly inform the Biden administration of these conditions.

In July 2015, Iran reached a comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue with the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China, and Germany.

According to the agreement, Iran promised to limit its nuclear program and the international community lifted sanctions against Iran.

In May 2018, the Trump administration unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear agreement, and subsequently restarted and added a series of sanctions against Iran.

Since May 2019, Iran has gradually suspended the performance of some terms of the agreement.
