Neuss (dpa / lnw) - A Christmas tree floating in the Rhine caused a fire brigade in Neuss on Sunday.
As the fire department announced, in the afternoon passers-by reported an object in the water that resembled a person with a backpack.
They informed the rescue workers, who came with a large number.
They found what they were looking for at the oil gangway island: "Fortunately, the" person in the Rhine "turned out to be an improperly disposed of the Christmas tree," the fire brigade said.
