In 2021, SVT plans to open an editorial office in Fagersta. Fagersta-posten's editor-in-chief Julia Engström views the message positively. - I think it is good for local journalism with competition. We are getting a little more on our toes and for consumers it is also good to have more news outlets to turn to, says Julia Engström.
With the new editorial staff, an SVT reporter will start from Fagersta to cover northern Västmanland and the southern parts of Dalarna.
- It is a big task for a person.
It is only to be hoped that it will benefit the readers and viewers and I think it does, says Julia Engström.
