Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) - In normal times, parties in hotels are the most normal thing in the world, but everything is different in the corona pandemic.

In Karlsruhe city center, the police had to break up a total of four celebrations with several people in a cheap hotel over the weekend because they violated the Corona rules.

Many hotels are actually closed due to the lockdown, but this house is popular with assembly workers because of its low prices.

In addition, the city of Karlsruhe regularly accommodates people in need here, as the police explained.

On Saturday evening, a patrol was called into the hotel because four people were celebrating loudly in one room.

When the officers broke up the party, a strong smell of marijuana wafted into their nostrils from another room.

A 24-year-old opened the door and, after recognizing the police, threw a fanny pack with some marijuana out the window.

His friend, also 24, had some of the material with him.

The two had to go to the station.

Less than an hour later, the police were already back on the mat at the hotel with an even larger crew.

They broke up three more parties that had up to eight people.

The party makers must all expect a report because they have violated the Corona regulation.

Accordingly, only one household may meet with one additional person.
