Consumer advice for the municipalities of Jönköping, Habo, Mullsjö and Vaggeryd has received an increase in cases of 15 percent, compared with the year before the corona pandemic.

One in six complaints has been related to purchases that have not been canceled or delayed due to the current crisis.

During the autumn, the questions were about non-repayments and risks of bankruptcy of airlines, travel agencies and event companies.

In many consumer cases, more companies than one are involved, which has made it difficult for the consumer to get it right.

- There have been significantly more situations this year than before, you buy plane tickets from a third party and event tickets from a third intermediary and then these situations arise where it is difficult to get in touch with the right party, because there are too many involved, says consumer adviser Annika Wilow Sundh.

"Must be clear"

At the same time, consumer advisers expect more complaints about e-commerce, a form of trading where there may also be three parties involved in purchases and they believe that it has become more common with different types of companies that provide services and that it is often unclear which company is the right one. the party to turn to.

- First and foremost, it must be clear and obvious if it is now an intermediary who does not have the great responsibility, then it must be clear who is responsible and how the consumer should go about making their complaint and it is not always the case. clearly, says Annika Wilow Sundh.
