From her educational farm in Boisset in Haute-Loire, Fanny Agostini celebrates food, health and agriculture.

This Monday, she is interested in the impact on biodiversity of the wall built between Mexico and the United States at the request of Donald Trump.

Joe Biden will not continue building the wall between the United States and Mexico that was supposed to block the passage of migrants.

According to Fanny Agistini, the damage has already been done for biodiversity.

Donald Trump, who was the site manager, also didn't give a damn about biodiversity On more than 3,000 kilometers of border, it is already 700 kilometers of cement and metal that stand today across a wildlife that has paid the high price of an insane nationalist policy.

Many species have indeed suffered fragmentation of their habitat and can no longer meet their needs properly.

Their migratory route is blocked by this wall.

For many of these species, crossing the border line is a matter of survival in order to feed or breed.

This is the case of the jaguar, the Lynx or the Mexican gray wolf.

More than 90 species are threatened and are collateral victims of the Trump wall.

The construction of this wall has already generated a lot of pollution.

We haven't talked about it enough in the press, but this wall is a major ecological disaster in the sense that the major works required the drainage of underground water, withdrawing millions of liters to make the cement used to make the foundations of the Wall.

This water, which was nevertheless very precious in a region of the world known for its semi-aridity and which is no longer available to residents or animals.

And that's not all, the rivers that cross the Mexican-American borders have shamelessly been diverted and polluted, There are also hills which have been leveled with dynamite, putting at risk many species often endemic.

Years of binational protection efforts between Mexico and the United States have been ruined.

Between Mexico and the American states of California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas, there were very diverse ecosystems and also many natural areas protected by the two countries that were torn apart.

The militarization of the entire border area has made it a desert strip where no human or animal dares to venture.

Hopefully Joe Biden will renew exchanges with his neighborhood and give life to this border which is in reality a natural corridor between two countries for many animal species which must also have the right to move freely.
