Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The Ministry of Health in Brandenburg reported 284 new infections with the coronavirus within one day on Monday.
Compared to the weekend, the number of cases fell again.
There were 519 new corona infections on Sunday and 724 cases on Saturday.
However, rural districts and urban districts often report the number of infections on weekends delayed.
There were 11 new deaths across the country.
So far, a total of 2,125 people have died in connection with Covid disease.
The Ostprignitz-Ruppin district reported most of the new infections within 24 hours at 55, where the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants rose within a week to around 450, which is currently the highest in Brandenburg.
This is followed by the Spree-Neisse district with 52 new corona infections and a seven-day incidence of 306. In all of Brandenburg, the value was 183.4 and thus below the critical mark of 200. The goal of the federal and state governments is bring the incidence below 50.
1002 patients are currently being treated in hospital for Covid disease, 221 are receiving intensive care - 156 of them have to be ventilated.
The number of people currently ill fell by 448 to 14,155. A total of 66,009 corona infections have been confirmed since March, 49,729 people are considered to have recovered.

Nationwide, 573 of 708 intensive care beds are occupied, according to figures from the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive and Emergency Medicine (DIVI) on Monday.
135 intensive care beds are still available, and another 318 could be set up within a week.
