Al Falasi said: Due to the spread of cases of contact due to poor adherence to the approved precautionary and preventive measures, and in light of the quarantine and health isolation guidelines issued by the Control and Control Center to combat the Corona virus (Covid 19), and in coordination with the competent authorities in the emirate, it was decided that the quarantine period be 10 days for the employee in contact with an infected person. Coronavirus.

Al Falasi explained that the quarantine period is calculated according to several classifications, which are: For the contact employee who can perform his work tasks remotely, if the position of the contact employee can perform its duties remotely, then he is assigned to work remotely throughout the quarantine period in accordance with the provisions of Executive Council Resolution No. 36) of 2020 regarding the remote work system for Dubai government employees, and in the event of repeated contact, the period of quarantine is considered a periodic leave, and in the event that the balance of his periodic leave is exhausted, the quarantine period is calculated as a leave without pay.

As for the contact employee who cannot perform his work tasks remotely, in the event that the position of the contact employee does not accept performing its duties remotely, he is granted emergency leave the first time, and in the event of repeated contact, the quarantine period is considered periodic leave and in case the balance of his periodic leave is exhausted It is considered unpaid leave.

Al Falasi stressed the need for Dubai government entities to take several measures to contribute to limiting the spread of cases of contact between employees, which are: To continuously educate employees to adhere to the precautionary measures announced by the competent authorities to contribute to limiting the spread of the Coron pandemic, and to ensure, on a daily basis, that employees adhere to the precautionary measures. And preventive measures and the need to take appropriate disciplinary measures against any employee who is proven negligent to adhere to these procedures.

Al Falasi added that the employee must verify the reasons for repeated contact with the employee and whether it involves negligence or failure to adhere to the precautionary measures that require the application of disciplinary sanctions, and the injured employee or the contact must notify his immediate supervisor or the human resources department directly upon the occurrence of the injury or contact, bearing him Legal responsibility in the event of his reluctance or delay in doing so, given that his failure to do so constitutes an administrative violation that requires legal accountability, and government agencies must apply standards that ensure the follow-up of workflow and measure the productivity of contact employees who work in the remote work system.
